Dr. Michelle Caren founded Vets ASAP after years of traditional practice left her wanting more — more time with patients, more meaningful conversations with families, and more ways to reduce the stress that clinic visits place on animals. She earned her B.S. in Science and Biology from USC in 1997 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis in 2004.
Today, Dr. Caren leads a mobile practice that brings hospital-quality diagnostics, compassionate wellness care, and thoughtful end-of-life support directly to families across Ventura County and the greater Los Angeles area. She is known for her warmth, her thoroughness, and her unwavering belief that every pet deserves to be treated like a family member.

Dr. Michelle Caren is the heart and soul of Vets ASAP. She earned her B.S. in Science and Biology from USC in 1997 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis in 2004. Dr. Caren founded Vets ASAP with a simple but powerful belief: that pets deserve exceptional veterinary care in the place they feel safest — their own home. She is known for her warmth, expertise, and deep compassion for both animals and their families. Dr. Caren specializes in end-of-life care, wellness medicine, and allergy management.

Stepheney has 15+ years of veterinary experience and works onsite with Dr. Caren. As our lead Veterinary Technician, she brings exceptional clinical skill and an extraordinary ability to put both pets and their owners at ease.
